REDGAL is a Belizean-born beauty residing in New York City. Her stage name, RedGal, was given to her in her native Belize because of the color of her skin and fire of her music. RedGal is very versatile and creative with her original style of music. Her music can be classified as "modern reggae," or as RedGal prefers, "Belizean Style," combining elements of traditional reggae, hiphop and dancehall. RedGal believes that her music reflects her inner being. She also writes all her own songs - "positive"and “introspective” - in the "Belizean Style." RedGal’s love for music began early on while growing up in Belize. Her brother was a huge fan of traditional reggae and played it in their home continuously. RedGal was drawn into reggae because of its strongly accentuated offbeat. Her favorite recording artists are Beenie Man, Sean Paul and Lady Saw just to name a few. When RedGal was 15, she migrated to New York City and brought along her own unique style and passion of music,which, still to this day, takes over her soul. She soon found herself immersed in the intense music scene. For the past decade, RedGal has soaked up the Big Apple culture and began to follow her musical dream determined to get her music out to the masses. She performed in a number of talent shows, open mics and showcases, and has been universally applauded by industry executives and fans alike. RedGal has been crowned “Best up-and-coming Female Reggae Artist” by the now legendary Jimmy’s Uptown Café and Pure Dog Entertainment talent Showcase Showdown. Aside from dancehall, RedGal also has a beautiful singing voice. With her versatile vocal skills, her style of reggae/dancehall on hip-hop tracks are something not seen much in your regular dancehall artist in the industry.Listening to RedGal from the audience while she is on stage performing or just listening to her songs on the CD player at home or in the car, or over the radio airwaves, you feel the intensity and strength of her voice which is powerful and engaging. Seeing her for the first time as she takes the stage before she even sings a single musical note, the first thing that enters the mind is “what is this beautiful young woman going to do?” And then it happens - the music - the rhythms - the lyrics - and the audience is mesmerized by her exquisite talent. RedGal is a prolific writer having penned more than 500 tunes (she is an ASCAP songwriter). RedGal has signed a management contract with Jameca Malloy’s BlakOut Entertainment LLC. With BlakOut Entertainment’s guidance and tenacity, RedGal began to perform in front of larger audiences, enlarging her fan base. With her phenomenal performances, massive energy and catchy hooks it’s no wonder why RedGal is always received with enthusiastic reviews and acclaim.
