The title track returned to the no.1 position again 8 months after its initial release. Chivalry has remained in the top 40 on charts all across the web for 10 years and counting! A Solo Soul studio artist, writer, producer and publisher, Chivalry sings from the heart and sets the mood for love like no other! The Music 

The music is just a natural part of me. I was singing in a group at 5, learned to play drums at 10 and performed around Detroit while growing up there. At 16 I found myself on my own and it was when I was 18 and stable that I decided to teach myself how to write my own songs. I got married, had 5 kids and had to forget about my dreams for a while. 20 years! To my advantage I’m one of those people who has to always be learning something so in the background I was educating myself about a lot of things. This is all business to me. Chivalry exists because he has a very original sound and seems to be highly marketable. After 10 years, I’ve stayed on charts and whenever I can get 2 nickles together to peep out at everybody online through some kind of marketing venue, I still seem to standout. I don’t get it! I just know that it’s true and that that in itself is very valuable as a business asset. 

My recordings occur like this. I write a piece of music, put the headphones on, turn on the mic and see what the song has to say. When I get to the end of a song, that’s the record. No re-recording. I mix it and that’s that. It’s natural. When I write music, it’s a feeling. After I’ve completed a song, if I do want to re-record a part I have to listen to it and learn it because I have no idea of what I played. My lyrics I never write down and I never forget. I think that that’s odd myself but if I were to try and plan and think a song, nothing will happen. As far as my playing skills go, I write music and that’s it. I am in no way a musician. I taught myself to play by writing.

“I was fortunate in that I remember a lot of the Motown originals because they were right there in the neighborhood.  I always appreciated the diversity and quality of the artists from that era.”  

Being a single parent and dealing with teenagers and young adults takes its toll along with trying to deal with my Bembry Entertainment Group and of course my full-time job at LMU. I wouldn't have it any other way! There's never enough time and trying to balance everything is a trick at best. I guess it's just that I love people in general and my life affords me constant contact with heartfelt relationships with many people. Most of all my children. As a parent you're always monitoring where your children are at in life and how they can at least become stable adults with some level of security in life. In these times?!!!! It turns out that all that I can do is really keep them strong and motivated. Two of my five children are let's say; a bit off track at the moment but the thing that I give them all credit for is that they are good of heart. They are decent people. I’m very proud of them all. I’ve learned from them that they feel secure because they believe in me and know that I'll always act with integrity and total support to ensure their security. They've seen Pops pull a rabbit out of a hat on several occasions during their lifetimes. I'm a bit of a "What's Honorable" fanatic and my children's faith in knowing this about me is where I gain all of the strength that I'll ever need in this life and the next. Believe it or not, now I have 5 grandchildren! Thank God that no one would ever look at me and believe it! “Although I struggle through this life like most, I know that even through the worst of times; I've been blessed by it all. After having lived a bit, spent 20 years in a marriage and 7 years as a single parent, I find that I haven’t changed much. I still find hope in the idea of true love.”

I've always been girl crazy but it's not always about sex. I just love the opposite sex. In truth women are different from men in the way that they're wired and I haven't figured them out either but I find so much pleasure in trying! I like making blunt statements as I am extremely straight forward about everything and it's always a joy when a woman looks at you with the biggest smile and tells you, "You're a fool!" lol
